 Terms
Network - A network is a collection of
connected computers, servers, printers and other components which allows users to share
data and other resources.LAN's are Local Area Networks, a
network that connects the computers in your office or home using twisted
pair or coax cable.
WAN's are Wide Area Networks, networks
that connect two or more remote LAN's together, using a dedicated
communication line between the locations.
VPN's are Virtual Private Networks,
networks that connect two or more remote LAN's together, using a
standard internet connection and encryption security to prevent data
from being intercepted.
WAP's are Wireless Access Points,
networks that use wireless technology to allow the connection of
computer systems without the use of cables.
